Real Dedier scored a first half header to lead Police FC to the top of the Northern Football Association (NFA) Premier Division standings on Saturday, following a 1-0 win over QPCC.
Dedier was later ejected from the match after receiving two yellow cards, and Police was perhaps lucky not to have conceded subsequently.
Police, which won all of its matches to date, joined QPCC, with four wins each, with the latter club playing one match more than the former. It was a disappointing result for the Parkites which entered the match as the biggest winner during midweek action.
The team handed Clint Marcelle Academy a 5-0 drubbing. Petit Valley was the only other team to win all of its matches, but the run was stopped abruptly when Maple scored a late goal in the two teams’ 1-1 draw, when action continued yesterday.
St Francois, which has been on a fine run since its opening round loss, was unable to have an opportunity for it to continue as the club’s fixture with Clint Marcelle FA on Saturday was called off as requested by the latter team. Harvard and New Millennium were also scheduled to be played today, but it was also postponed.
