CENGEM HARLEM Strikers advanced to the semi-final round of the Central Football Association (CFA) Ramsingh Sports World-sponsored FA Cup competition on Tuesday after overcoming Carapichaima Playmakers 2-1 in a Round Two contest at the Hugo Francis Recreation Ground, Chaguanas.

Emilio Smith gave Carapichaima a seventh minute lead but Harlem responded with two second-half goals, from Kerron Fox (63rd) and Daniel Wells (76th). 

In Round One, Carapichaima took care of Enterprise Youths by a similar 2-1 margin, in the first of back-to-back matches at the Hugo Francis Recreation Ground on Saturday. 

Trevorsen Calliste (15th) and Kevin Peters (54th) found the back of the net for Carapichaima while Taurean Sobers (70th) pulled one back for Enterprise. 

Also on Saturday, Central Soccer World rallied from a goal down to whip Leeds FC 3-1. 

Christopher Samlal put Leeds ahead in the 10th but Central fought back to claim victory courtesy of Jiron Francis (65th and 75th) and Dion Lewis (90th). 

On Sunday, Perseverance United needed kicks from the penalty spot to oust Inter National Connection 6-5, after both teams battled to a 1-1 draw at the end of regulation time. Kareem Garcia scored for Perseverance United in the 15th before Inter- National Connection equalised in the 31st from Andre Grant. 

And, on Monday, Fire Services eliminated Perseverance Ball Runners 3-0 in a penalty shootout after the scores were goalless after regulation time. 

All the games in this competition are being staged at the Hugo Francis Recreation Ground.

THIRD PLACE PLAYOFF AND FINAL - October 4 - Hugo Francis Recreation Ground, 5 pm & 7 pm.
