Michael Denoon, the son of former national standout Nevick Denoon grabbed the highlights on the opening weekend of competition in the 2017 Northern Football Association season when he scored the first hat-trick in both divisions combined.
The nephew of Morvant Elements manager/ coach Clyde De Noon who also played for the national team, Denoon’s (Michael) hat track came in a 5-1 win for Morvant Elements over Harvard in the Championship Division in the eight, 57th and 85th minutes.
Akius Joseph (40th) and Brian Wallace (60th) were also on target for Morvant Elements while Nikyiel Dublin netted Harvard’s lone item in the 65th>
In the Premier Division, RSSR, Cultural Roots and Miscellaneous Laventille all won their matches.
