Sharkell Louison scored a brace as unbeaten Moruga FC drew 2-2 at home with Pitchmen FC in their final match of the Southern Football Association (SFA) Big Six competition to claim the league championship.
Moruga FC went into the encounter with Pitchmen at Grand Chemin Recreation Ground, Moruga with a perfect record of four wins from as many matches and maximum 12 points, three ahead of Pitchmen, with the latter needing a win to take the title. Louison twice had the home crowd in a happy mood while Pitchmen replied through Tequan Rodriguez and Akim Meade.
Also on Sunday, #9 United won by default from Penal All Stars while Princes Town Falcons and Fire Service clash was postponed.
Tomorrow the SFA Executive Cup semifinal will take centre stage with Siparia Strikers meeting Princes Town Falcons at Diamond Recreation Ground from 7 pm while on Thursday at the same venue Pitchmen tackles Fire Service in the other semifinal for a spot in the final.
