The Eastern Football Association (EFA) of T&T sent condolences to former national defender Ansil Elcock, on the death of his son in Baltimore, USA, over the weekend.
Elcock’s son died after being hit by a stray bullet during a shooting.
EFA president Kieron Edwards said the fraternity is “heartbroken”.
“This is another reminder of the importance of sport in leading youth away from a life of crime. EFATT sincerely hopes that this scourge of gun crime is eradicated before other innocent youths meet an untimely end.”
