Jamal Creighton fired in a hat-trick as Terminix La Horquetta Rangers hammered Guaya United 7-0 to climb into the fourth spot in the Ascension Invitational Football League Division One at La Horquetta Recreation Ground, La Horquetta on Tuesday night.
In the rescheduled match, national striker Kadeem Corbin opened the scoring in the seventh minute for Rangers before Samuel Delice doubled the advantage eight minutes later. The team got the third item two minutes into time added on at the end of the first-half by Creighton.
Creighton made it 4-0 in the 57th minute with his second on the night while Jomoul Francois fired in his fifth of the campaign in the 74th to extend the advantage to 5-0.
With nine minutes left in the match, Creighton completed his treble to carry his season tally to four, before Keron "Ball Pest" Cummings rounded off the scoring four minutes into time added-on
The victory lifted Rangers to ten points from four matches, level with Cunupia FC and FC Santa Rosa, but ahead of goal-difference.
At the top of the 12-team table is Defence Force with 19 points from seven matches, one ahead of Morvant Caledonia AIA which has maximum 18 points from six matches, followed by San Juan Jabloteh with 12, and a match in hand as well.
Tomorrow, Rangers will have a chance to move one more spot up the table into third, when they entertain
seventh-placed Club Sando at La Horquetta from 6 pm
