Seasoned beach soccer custodian, Zane Coker, completed his first season as a BSC Bienne Hatchets player in the Suzuki Swiss Beach Soccer League when action concluded along the sandy circuit last week.

Coker helped his team to an impressive third place finish in the Challenge League (second division) and a credible seventh place in the Premier League.

Presently, Coker is staying an additional week in Switzerland where he will travel to Zurich to be featured in the making of the 2015 FIFA Beach Soccer dvd and book.

The 25-year-old goalkeeper touched down in Europe in early July and plied his trade with Bienne Hatchets for approximately three months.

This experience was also a first for Coker on the international circuit, following coutnrymen Chad Appoo and Dominique Mc- Dougal’s selection to play for the Swiss Chargers last year.

Coker has already represented Trinidad and Tobago on the National Under-20, Under- 23 and Pan American football teams.

The former Belmont Intermediate student shifted to Trinity College in Moka, where he also played Intercol football. From there, he had stints with TT Pro League clubs such as Caledonia AIA and St Ann’s Rangers. He is expected to return to Trinidad over the weekend.
