Kevon Neaves and Yohance MarshallOn Thursday night, the BIG EAST Conference announced the All-BIG EAST First, Second, Third and Honorable Mention members for the 2008 season. Seniors Yohance Marshall and Kevon Neaves were named to the All-BIG EAST First Team, while senior Jordan Seabrook and junior Zak Boggs received Third Team Honors. Sophomore goalkeeper Jeff Attinella was Honorable Mention.

WVIAC Tournament champion Alderson-Broaddus claimed two of the top three honors for the 2008 league men's soccer season.  Battler head coach Dan Kelly was honored by his peers as Coach of the Year, while rookie midfielder Chris Doran was named the Freshman of the Year.  West Virginia Wesleyan's Anthony Peters grabbed Player of the Year honors after leading the 'Cats to the conference regular season title.

Three Rhode Island men's soccer players received Atlantic 10 All-Conference honors in voting conducted by the league's head coaches. Kedan Crosby (St. James, Trinidad), Dwayne Williams (Westmoreland, Jamaica) and Erkko Puranen (Viitasaari, Finland) all were named to the All-Conference second team while Puranen also earned a spot on the All-Rookie squad.

Akil DeFreitasTopping the University of North Florida men’s soccer team and ranking near the top in offensive production in the Atlantic Sun Conference, sophomores Adam O’Neill and Akil DeFreitas were named to the 2008 All-Atlantic Sun Conference team, the conference office announced Tuesday.

Ancil FarrierAncil Farrier (Los Bajos, Trinidad) added more hardware to his already extensive collection, with a 2008 Division II Daktronics All-East Region First-Team selection. Farrier was a dominant defensive presence for the Owls and voted to the First-Team by the members of the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

Cumberland defender Yue Wang and midfielder Kempess Villafana were both named First Team All-TranSouth Conference for men’s soccer, as announced by the conference office as the TSAC Championships begin Tuesday at campus sites.
