Mars Hill forward Ernest Sobers and defender Rondon Bacchus were named to the SAC All-Conference Second Team.
Bacchus, a Point Fortin, Trinidad, native, was an anchor of the Lions' defense in his final season at Mars Hill. He started 17 games and was the focal point of a group that allowed only 1.56 goals per game.
Tusculum College’s Bruno Conceicão, who led the conference in goals per match and points per match, was named the 2008 South Atlantic Conference Men’s Soccer Player of the Year
Tusculum head coach Brett Teach, who guided the Pioneers to their second consecutive conference championship, was named Coach of the Year for the second year in a row. Freshman forward Nick Rich, who played a big part in Tusculum’s championship, was named Freshman of the Year.
The All-Conference teams are selected by the league’s head coaches.
