Former national under-20 and under-17 captain Leston Paul was on Tuesday named among 54 NCAA Division 1 college seniors invited to participate in the 2013 adidas MLS Player Combine that will take place from January 11-15 in Fort Lauderdale.

Paul completed an outstanding season for University of South Florida and will be hoping to make a good impression at the Combine as he attempts to secure his first professional stint.

Paul will be among players eligible for selection in the 2013 SuperDraft on January 17 in Indianapolis.

A committee of NCAA Division I coaches from every conference and MLS representatives selected the invitees, all of whom completed their college eligibility this season. Generation adidas signings, non-collegiate players, and additional college seniors will be announced in the coming weeks.

“I’m happy to have completed another good season with my team and I’ve really enjoyed my time here at the university.

I’ve been able to grow as an individual both on and off the pitch and that was important for me. Now I will enter another step in my life which is to see where my professional career as a footballer goes,” said Paul.
