Grand Canyon gave you all the offense you wanted Thursday night in an 8-1 rout of Chaminade at GCU Soccer Complex.
It was Bailey's first career hat trick.
"A great night for Bailey," GCU senior Dusan Radisavljevic said. "He's doing exactly what he's supposed to do. That's what we were missing."
Grand Canyon picked up goals from five different players, and had 16 shots on goal.
Nick Sykes scored the game's first goal on an assist from Radisavljevic and Brian Green. Radisavljevic scored off a corner kick from Bailey at the 8:00 mark to push the Antelopes lead to 2-0.
Bailey connected on a long ball from Matheau Hall seven minutes later, chipping the ball over Chaminade goalkeeper Kris Lounsbury's head for a 3-0 lead.
"I'm proud of my accomplishment," Bailey said. "I couldn't have done it without my teammates."
Bailey has five goals and two assists, all in the last two games.
Without key defenders Bosko Jovicevic and Fito Collazo and holding midfielder Jordan Demos on the field, Grand Canyon's Joel Ibarra held the Antelopes together with his field savvy.
Freshman Antonio Valera scored his first career goal as he dribbled through the Silverswords defense and tapped a shot into the right corner. He also assisted on Bailey's third goal at the 42:51 mark when he ran the end line and fed Bailey with pass in front of the net. Bailey hit a winner to the right to nab his hat trick.
"He's amazing," GCU's Pat Perkins said. "It's great to have him on our team."
Perkins scored two goals, his first 40 seconds before halftime when he banged a header off Bailey's header on Taft Fuller's corner kick. That put the Antelopes ahead 7-0.
"Everybody was just working hard," Perkins said. "We showed that we really wanted it. We connected on all our easy passes. We just need to keep going, keep pushing for our goal."
Fuller, Brian Green and Anthony Whitlatch each recorded their first career points with assists.
Backup goalkeeper Adam Aguilar made two saves in the first half after spelling starter Franco Carotenuto.
Grand Canyon's only blemish was allowing Chaminade's Nick Smith to score in the 65th minute.
The Antelopes will host Dixie State on Oct. 1 at 7 p.m.
