Thorne HolderAdelphi University senior Patrick Figueiredo and sophomore Thorne Holder each earned Atlantic Soccer Conference (ASC) weekly honors as announced by the conference office on October 6. Figueiredo was named Player of the Week while Holder was honored as Goalie of the Week.

Figueiredo, a native of Campinas, Brazil, erupted for four goals last week as the Panthers extended their winning streak to five with victories over Manhattan (3-0) and LaSalle (2-0). Figueiredo scored all three goals in the win over Manhattan and one against LaSalle. He has scored at least one goal in the last four out of five contests for Adelphi. His totals for the week were four goals and eight points.

Holder, a Trinidad and Tobago native, recorded two shutouts in 180 minutes last week. The first shutout came against Manhattan in a 3-0 victory and the second in a 2-0 win over LaSalle. He combined for 10 saves and has posted a shutout in three of his first five games in net.

The Panthers return to action when they host Princeton University on Wednesday, October 8 at 7:30 pm.
