ELHURST, Ill.  – Oakland University’s Stefan St. Louis was named The Summit League Men’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week, announced by the league office on Monday. St. Louis led the Golden Grizzlies to a pair of non-league wins last week over Detroit, 3-0, and Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, 2-0.

St. Louis, a junior forward from Chaguanas, Trinidad, scored the game’s second goal against UDM, leading OU to a 3-0 victory last Tuesday. Against SIUE, St. Louis scored the game-winner in just the second minute off a set piece from a corner kick to lead the Grizzlies to a 2-0 win. He now leads the team in goals with seven, third best in The Summit League.

Oakland will take on UMKC this Saturday, Nov. 8, in its regular season finale. The Golden Grizzlies (12-4, 4-1) have clinched the Summit League championship, their seventh in 10 seasons, and could win it outright with victory over the Kangaroos (9-5-2, 3-2).
