The 17th-ranked Colorado School of Mines men's soccer team scored a season-high nine goals to earn a victory over Colorado Christian on Friday afternoon. Nine different players scored in the match.

Mines' first two goals came within a minute and 17 seconds of each other. Philip Wilson scored an unassisted goal in the third minute of the match, his third goal of the season. Cale Haas found Alex Nass in the fourth minute giving Nass his second goal of the season.

Jeff Nelson netted his third goal of the season in the 11th minute of the match as Philip Wilson tallied his third assist of the season. Chike Sullivan scored his team-leading fourth goal of the season unassisted in the 33rd minute.

CSM added five more goals in the second half. Ted Decker scored his second goal of the season off a free kick. Cale Haas drove a ball far post that Decker headed past the keeper in the 52nd minute. The assist was Haas' second of the match. Alex Gunberg netted his third goal of the season as Zach Page-Belknap tallied the assist in the 64th minute.

Nier scored his first collegiate goal in the 73rd minute of the match. Damir Trncic added a goal, his first of the season and the first of his career, in the 83rd minute with the assist from Kenan Bisic. Bisic scored CSM's final goal with just 24 seconds remaining, his first goal of the season.

The CSM defense held the Cougars to just six shots in the match and goalkeepers Manville Strand and Stephen Nicknish combined for the shutout in goal.

The Orediggers (6-1-2, 2-1 RMAC) will host UC-Colorado Springs on Sunday, Sept. 27th at 2:30 pm at the CSM Soccer Stadium.
