Six men’s and four women’s soccer players were named TranSouth Scholar-Athletes, as announced by the league office at the conclusion of the conference championships last weekend. Student-athletes must be a sophomore, junior or senior and maintain a 3.00 grade-point-average entering the fall semester to be eligible.

Six men’s players, including senior Gubby John-Williams, juniors Zack Batty, Robert Boyd, Seth Obermeyer and sophomores Bradley Williams and Matthew Shattuck, were named TSAC Scholar-Athletes. Boyd was a First Team All-TranSouth selection as well and Williams earned TSAC Freshman of the Year honors last season.

On the women’s side junior Helena Dimantas Farias and sophomores Angela Cortes, Mandie Crispin and Simone Quinn all garnered the honor. Dimantas Farias was also a First Team All-TranSouth selection after earning Second Team honors as a freshman.
