Former Defence Force striker Errol McFarlane has signed a one-year contract with Iceland Professional team Breidablik FC.
Through his agent, Mike Berry, McFarlane signed the dotted line last month and is expected to feature in the first team when the season begins this month.
The former Lebanese-based professional last appeared for T&T in a World Cup qualifier against Mexico last October. He earlier scored three goals in respective World Cup qualifying wins over St Vincent and the Grenadines and St Kitts/Nevis.
“At the moment I have agreed to sign with the club here after spending a short time on trial. I think it’s a good opportunity for me to be playing out here and hopefully I can gain from it because the aim is still to get through with a deal in England which my agent continues to work on,” McFarlane said on the weekend.
