Newly appointed Kaya head coach Fabien Lewis looked at the positives even though his side yielded to Green Archers United FC last Wednesday.

Appointed just three weeks ago, Lewis had a rough start in the Kaya hot seat. Kaya conceded two goals in the first half and were unable to convert their chances on the other end, ultimately losing 2-0 to the Archers.

“We gave one heck of an effort in the second half,” said Lewis. “We battered them but unfortunately we were unable to get that goal.”

Lewis went on to admit that the result was “one of those days that you just have to move on — accept it for what it is.” Kaya went down to fifth place after ending the first round in fourth.

“One thing I know Kaya has is that we have a family,” said Lewis.

Kaya’s next match will be against third-placed Loyola Meralco Sparks tonight and Lewis hopes that he can steer them back to winning ways.

“We’ll continue forward in the right direction until the end of the season,” said Lewis.
