Trinidad and Tobago international Avery John could be on his way to Shelbourne.
The central defender is looking to return to the Eircom league, following his departure from the American A-League side Boston Bulldogs.
Before joining the Bulldogs, John played for Bohemians. And although Bohs expressed their interest in re-signing him, news broke last night that he is in talks with rivals Shelbourne.
Shels assistant manager Alan Matthews kept a lid on whether or not John has been snapped up.
"We are taking in two players", he said, adding: "I cannot disclose their names, but they have had experience in playing in this league".
