On loan Swansea defender Dennis Lawrence is set to make a return to the side against Colchester tomorrow having successfully had a mask fitted this week.
He makes a welcome return as numbers at the back began to dwindle once more with Chris McCready back on the sidelines with a groin strain, however, with Marlon Broomes rejoining the club on loan, it is looking healthier for boss Gudjon Thordarson.
Gudjon told the club's official web-site: "Dennis has been training with the mask to get used to it and he is ready to travel to Colchester.
"We have informed the referee that if Dennis plays then we will be wearing a mask. I don't envisage any problems because we have seen players wearing these protective masks to protect the cheek bone for a while now.
"The only problem maybe he looks ugly with it on and may scare one or two people with the mask on! It shouldn't stop him being able to play though!
"Dennis has been vital for us this season. He is a very experienced defender and is strong and solid in his defending. He is calm and composed and that is good for us to have."
