POMPEY'S penalty hero revealed how Alan Knight picked him off the floor after his Charlton blunder.
Shaka Hislop's save in Pompey's 3-1 win over Crystal Palace capped a second superb performance by Pompey's keeper since he hit rock-bottom at The Valley last month by letting the ball slip through his arms for a goal.
And Hislop singled out goalkeeping coach Knight for helping him pull through.
He said: ‘I was desperately low after what happened at Charlton – but I've worked hard with Alan Knight to put behind me what happened.
‘He was there to help me along, and the support he's given me since the Charlton game has been invaluable.'
Hislop's save from Andy Johnson, which stopped Palace from making it 2-2, was his second in a row from the spot.
He kept out Michael Owen's penalty for Liverpool at Fratton Park in February.
