The Sky Blues have signed Stern John on a three-year deal.
The Birmingham City striker completed a medical yesterday afternoon before putting pen to paper on the contract for an undisclosed fee.
A Trinidad and Tobago international, the 27-year-old has made 78 appearances for the Blues in all competitions since signing in February 2002, scoring 20 goals - including finishing the season as top scorer in Citys first Premiership campaign.
Before joining Birmingham, he spent three seasons at Nottingham Forest.
Said Manager Peter Reid: 'Stern is a proven goalscorer who will be a valuable addition to our squad.
'He has shown his quality at all levels and we look forward to working with him at Coventry.'
John - who made his debut for his country at 17 - is a hero in his native Trinidad, even spearheading a Football Development Programme for local children.
John, who will wear squad number 24, will go straight into the squad for the clash against Gillingham at Highfield Road on Wednesday night.
