Torquay United's on-loan Southampton winger Jake Thomson will be available for the Gulls' rescheduled Coca-Cola League Two trip to Barnet on Tuesday January 26.
United club secretary Ann Sandford yesterday confirmed that the Trinidad & Tobago international's loan ends following the re-arranged League date away to the Bees.
Paul Buckle's Gulls were originally due to visit Underhill this weekend, but are now hosting League One Brighton & Hove Albion in the FA Cup third round at Plainmoor instead.
Sandford yesterday confirmed the paper work for the third month of Thomson's successful loan spell from the Saints has been completed, meaning that the winger (right) is available for Saturday's eagerly anticipated Cup tie at home to Gus Poyet's Seagulls.
Buckle will be forced to change the side that lost 2-1 in the League at Bournemouth on Monday, as defender Chris Robertson and midfielder Nicky Wroe both collected their fifth bookings of the season and will be suspended for Saturday's Cup tie.
That means a reshuffle for Buckle, whose can call upon Devon-born former Bolton Wanderers and Exeter City central defender Mark Ellis to replace Robertson and skipper and central defender Chris Hargreaves in central midfield in place of Wroe.
On-loan Wycombe Wanderers striker Chris Zebroski, who is set to make a permanent transfer switch to United following Saturday's tie, is Cup-tied.
Zebroski partnered recalled goal scorer Scott Rendell in attack at Dean Court, so either Elliot Benyon or Tim Sills will be in line for a recall against Brighton.
One bonus for Buckle is that Southampton goalkeeper Michael Poke is set to be available for the tie, after his successful loan spell at Plainmoor was extended to the end of the season.
Poke was ineligible for United's FA Cup wins over Stockport County (4-0) and Cheltenham Town (3-1) as Southampton did not want their 'keeper cup tied.
Southampton-born shot-stopper Scott Bevan kept goal for both the second and first-round wins.
Now Bevan and Poke – who played at Bournemouth – will vie for Saturday's number one starting spot.
Right-back Lee Mansell and central defender Kieran Charnock were both on four bookings going into Monday's game but came through without cautions – despite seven yellow cards for the Gulls – and are both available for Saturday's tie.
United striker Ben Joyce's loan to Blue Square Premier side Forest Green Rovers has been extended so that he can feature in Rovers' FA Cup tie at Notts County on Sunday.
Meanwhile, Torquay supporters are reminded that Saturday's tie is not all-ticket but is 'pay at the gate' and that season-tickets do not apply. First-team match prices do apply, though.
