National Under 23 striker Juma Clarence continues to settle into his new club in Turkey Hacettepe Sk and had a positive impact in their latest victory in the Turkish Second Division last Sunday.

Clarence came off the bench on 76 minute and helped set up his team’s eventual winner three minutes later in their 2-1 win over Dardanelspor AS. He was instrumental in the play which started  just inside the opponent’s half before Sedat Dag nailed home the winner.

“I only got like the last 15 minutes of the game but I was happy because I came on and helped change the game for us,” Clarence said on Monday. “We were desperate to get something from the game because we have six games left and we’re fighting to stay up in the League.

“The fans were happy as we got the better of another team that is fighting to stay up and we worked really hard to get the three points in this match. Now our confidence is high and we are more hopeful that we can get the kind of the results to help us stay up Every game is a like a final from now on,” added Clarence who has made four first-team appearances since joining the club in February. The win pushed Hacettepe to 27 points, one spot from the bottom of the 18-team table and three points off closest rivals Dardanelspor.
