Skysports.com understands a number of League One clubs are chasing Jake Thomson following his release by Exeter.
The midfielder has been allowed to leave St James Park after making 16 league appearances for the Grecians since joining the club last summer.
He also had a loan spell at Cheltenham Town earlier this year and his agent Dan Fletcher confirmed there is plenty of interest in the 21-year-old.
"Jake is very grateful to Tiss (Paul Tisdale, Exeter manager) and Steve for giving him the opportunity at Exeter," Fletcher told skysports.com.
"I think they saw him as more of an impact substitute, as he does have that knack of being able to change a game, however at Jake's age he needs to be starting somewhere week in week out, preferably for 4-4-2 team that plays with width.
"I wasn't even sure it was public knowledge that Jake was leaving Exeter, however I have already had a number of calls from other League One clubs expressing an interest in him."
