National captain Kenwyne Jones says the experience of playing in the Europa League is a much anticipated one for him and Stoke City FC.

But he maintains that their main focus is to maintain their status as a Premiership club.

“It’s a fantastic experience. A first time for me playing in Europe  and we’re just enjoying every minute of it. We’re going to different countries and playing different teams and enjoying the competition. Who knows how far we are going to make it.

But we are going as far as possible,” Jones said on the weekend. As far Stoke City itself, he added: “Last season we did fairly well in the league and we got to the FA Cup final.

This year we have an added bonus of playing in the Europa league. We have to take one game at a time. Our main focus is staying in the Premier league. Personally, I will try to score as much as I can to put my name out there.”
