W Connection Football Club enjoyed a perfect start to the 2011-12 season Oasis Youth League on Sunday by defeating rival club San Juan Jabloteh in the U14, U16 and U18 divisions at Gilbert Park in Couva.

Connection, last season’s U13 and U15 champions, started the day by completing a 4-2 win in the U14 division with Terrell Williams netting twice (35th and 51st minute) and Isaiah Hudson (8th minute) and Kareem Riley (12th minute) notching one goal each, while Anthony Samuel (18th minute) and Yevan Rajpaul (20th minute) got the goals for Jabloteh.

Connection playing at home, followed up with a 4-1 win in the U16s and 2-0 in the U18s to enjoy a perfect Round One Match Day One.

Nicholas Dillon (4th and 35th minutes) and Yaefu Rougier (15th and 51st minute) both scored twice for Connection in the U16 division and Kadeem Corbin (40th minute) got the lone item for Jabloteh.

And in the U18s Emmanuel Francis (38th minute) and Rondell Phillip (76th minute) were the goal scorers to complete Connection’s excellent youth run.

St. Ann’s Rangers also recorded wins on Sunday, but by default against T&TEC FC in all three divisions.

Defence Force hosted North East Stars at the Haig Street Recreation Ground in Carenage and after enjoying a 2-1 win in the U14 division, the home side slumped to a 1-5 and 0-2 defeats in the U16 and U18 divisions.

Tajé Comminsiong (14th minute), Kyle O’Garro (19th minute), De-Shon Daniel (65th minute), Jamal Lawrence (69th minute) and Kriston Baird (80th minute) all got their names on the scoresheet for North East Stars in the U16 division, and in the U18s Aaqil Campbell and Shaquille Bertrand got the goals for the Sangre Grande club.

Caledonia AIA visited Police FC at the St. Joseph Convent ground and after a 2-2 draw in the U14 division, the Morvant/Laventille club whipped the ‘lawboys’ 5-0 in the U16s and enjoyed a 3-2 win in the U18s.
