ST ANN’S Rangers rallied from a 2-0 deficit to edge San Juan Jabloteh 3-2 last Sunday, in the Under-18 Division of the Oasis Youth Pro League.
With the result, Rangers are now atop the standings with a perfect six points from two games, the same as W Connection. Both teams have the similar goal difference (plus four) but Rangers have the lead based on the fact that their goals tally (six) is higher than Connection (four).
On Sunday, Jabloteh had an early cushion courtesy items from Courcion Elcock (second minute) and Kevin Lewis (18th). But Rangers stormed back in emphatic fashion, as Xavier Rajpaul (22nd) and Arvin Prescod (23th) netted in quick succession, while Tevonne Morris notched the winner in the 45th.
Connection blanked Caledonia AIA 2-0 with Neil Benjamin (18th) and Adan Noel (89th) finding the back of the net, while Defence Force cruised past Police 4-1.
Charles Hadden (39th), Tariq Rochford (43rd), Renard Celestine (47th) and Denzel Woods (70th) while Jabari Thomas (65th) got Police’s consolation. In the other match in the Under-18 category, North East Stars and TTEC fought to a goalless draw.
