Arima Morvant Fire will be seeking to record their seventh win of the season when they host second-placed W Connection in today’s lone T&T Pro League senior division fixture.
Kick-off time is 5 pm at the Larry Gomes Stadium, Arima. Fire inflicted a 6-0 drubbing on the winless Tobago United at the Dwight Yorke Stadium, Bacolet on Sunday with a hat-trick from Tobago-born striker Ashford Legerton while Alvis Faure Diaz, national midfielder Denzil Theobald and Elliot James adding one apiece.

In an Under-20 Division encounter at Bacolet on Monday, North East Stars cruised to a 3-1 win over the lads from the sister isle, with goals from Perry Ferreira (18th), Dexter Thorne (29th) and Kendall Jagdeosingh (65th), while Noel Williams got the consolation for Tobago (70th). Fire and Connection Under-20s will also be in action today, at the Larry Gomes Stadium Playing Field from 4 pm.

Meanwhile, San Juan Jabloteh were indebted to the scoring prowess of striker Micah Lewis as they emerged as overall champions at a tournament at the Bourda Oval in Georgetown, Guyana last weekend to claim the inaugural DeSinco Cup Tri-Nations Under-14 football title. The TT Pro League and National Under-14 champs defeated the Suriname and Guyana Under-14 squads, as well as an invitational Caricom team (featuring players from various Caribbean nations) in matches contested on Saturday and Sunday. In their first encounter on Saturday, Lewis got the lone goal to give Jabloteh a 1-0 win over the Surinamese while, a few hours later, Lewis netted a hat-trick as the TT lads trounced the Caricom squad 4-0. Chike Solomon notched the other for Jabloteh. And Lewis, a student of Diego Martin Junior Secondary, registered a beaver-trick as Jabloteh hammered their hosts on Sunday to remain unbeaten in the round-robin event. Lewis' helmet trick earned him the `Highest Goal Scorer' award. His four goals yesterday added to the four he scored on day one against Suriname and a Caricom XI. He scored a hat-trick against Suriname and a single goal against the Caricom selection. The `Best Goalkeeper' award went to Trinidad's Kyle Perez while Suriname's Ivanildo Chobin was adjudged the `Most Valuable Player.'
