North East Stars and Central FC picked up a point each on Wednesday night at the Ato Boldon Stadium following a goalless rescheduled Round One Match Day Six Digicel Pro League clash.
"Ref that's it... no more time," shouted Eve at the edge of his technical area after consulting fourth official Cecile Hinds.
Shortly after Eve's plea, Harris' match ending whistle blows were sounded.
But had striker Stars' forward Cornell Glen convert a penalty eleven minutes inside the second period, the Sangre Grande club would have celebrated much more than a point, and even revenge over the 'Central Sharks' that defeated them 2-1 a week and a half ago.
Glen, who fired the Stars ahead in the Round Two contest on February 23, before a goal each by Marvin Oliver and Jason Marcano handed Central the come-from-behind win, weaved past three players before he was tugged to the ground by substitute defender Weslie John.
Harris was quick to signal to the penalty spot as a 10-man North East Stars had the opportunity to seize an item.
The Stars were reduced when less than two minutes inside the half, when defender Kareem Moses picked up his second yellow card on the night and an automatic ejection from Harris following a ridiculous challenge from behind on Tobagonian midfielder Darren Mitchell.
Trinidad and Tobago and Central goalie Marvin Phillip then added to Stars adversity by executing a diving save on his left to keep out Glen's penalty strike.
It wasn't the first stop made by Phillip against the 2006 T&T World Cup striker.
Twenty-five minutes into the match Glen broke the offside trap collecting a pass over the top and thumped in an effort which Phillip was well positioned to charge down.
And in the dying moments of the match, Phillip made another crucial save denying Stars' substitute Marcus Gomez who made a steal on defender John before charging towards goal.
Meanwhile fifth positioned Central (19 points), one spot behind Stars (21 points) in fourth, had themselves to blame with poor finishing.
Antiguan forward Peter Byers failed to put Stars' goalie Cleon John into action with two first half opportunities.
In the 29th minute the bulky forward slapped an effort overbar from a Marcano cross, and in the 38th minute his half volley was too high after neatly controlling an Anthony Wolfe cross on his chest.
Wolfe also had a go at goal just before the halftime whistle leaving defenders Glenton Wolfe and Keithy Simpson floored by the pace of his strike before goalkeeper John made a save.
But credit to the 10-men Eve-coached Stars that absorbed numerous Central attacks—which somehow calmed around the final third of the pitch.
Central's best attempts at goal in the second period came courtesy winger Johan Peltier with a blast in the 54th minute to trouble John, and in the 66th minute defender Glenton Wolfe was forced to clear away an effort by his former teammate at the mouth of goal.
Both teams would be back in action on Friday 8 March at the Marvin Lee Stadium in Round Three Match Day Two of the Digicel Pro League. Central will tackle Police FC from 6pm and from 8pm North East Stars goes up against leaders Defence Force (36 points).
Simultaneously at the Ato Boldon Stadium on Friday, second positioned Caledonia AIA (29 points) takes on third positioned W Connection (25 points), prior to a 6pm clash between bottom of the table T&TEC FC and seventh positioned St. Ann’s Rangers.
Matches will continue on Wednesday 13 March with a rescheduled Round Three Match Day One double header at the Ato Boldon Stadium. Caledonia will face North East Stars from 6pm and W Connection against Central from 8pm.
