St Ann’s Rangers came from a goal down to take a 2–1 victory, when the club separated itself from its nearest challenger W Connection, in the third match of the Oasis Youth Pro League, Under-15 division, on Sunday.
The victory saw St Ann’s Rangers remain the only unbeaten team in the said division, to lead the standings on a perfect nine points from three matches. W Connection and Defence Force (both on six points) sit second and third, respectively, separated by goal-difference.
In the U-17 Division, Rangers also recorded a third consecutive win to stay perfect. They team dropped W Connection 6–0. Josh Toussaint scored a double, while Kevon Goddard, Jair Edwards, Jameal Antoine and Marquis Hoyte got a goal each.
In contrast, the U-13 Rangers team suffered a 6–1 defeat to the same opposition in the first day of the match, to remain rock-bottom of the eight-match standings.
North East Stars won its third match 4–1. Travis Byron scored a goal in either half. Mattheus De Lima opened in the second minute for Police, before North East completed a big comeback. Nick Guy scored the equaliser for Stars before jalani Augustus chipped in with a goal.
