Tobago United's coffer was enhanced by $100,000 courtesy the National Lotteries Board. The donation will be used to off set administrative expenses, salaries and stipends for players and other expenses associated with the exorbitant cost of playing in the Trinidad and Tobago Professional Football League.

The funding came at an opportune time and should boost the members' morale as they are struggling in the cellar position on the eight-team table.

The island's lone professional team has not won a game in 37 encounters but they have drawn their last three games and this may just be the first sign that the club could be coming out of the mire.

They opened the second round recently with a two all draw against the powerful Defence Force outfit and with the addition of Kenny Thomas to the coaching staff, head coach Peter Granville told the Tobago News that he is quietly confident of achieving his goal of securing a place in the Big Six.
