Current TT Pro League leaders CL Financial San Juan Jabloteh are about to make their first cut this season when the transfer window opens next week.
Head Coach of the San Juan based football club Terry Fenwick has announced this week that he is willing to sell former Trinidad and Tobago international defender Ian Gray to the best bidder.
According to Fenwick the decision to sell the 27 year old Ian Gray is a joint agreement between both the club and the player.
Fenwick told 'ttproleague.com', “We(Jabloteh) have decided to put Ian on the transfer market following numerous discussions with him(Ian Gray).”
He further explained, “We have a lot of younger players in defence who are doing really well at the moment and this could mean less playing time for Ian.”
“We are now willing to listen to any reasonable offers for Ian Gray,” said Fenwick.
Gray featured in Jabloteh’s last two victories against United Petrotrin and defending League Champions Joe Public.
“He was outstanding,” exclaimed Fenwick. “Ian was really good in our last two matches. I have to also say that he is a very good servant and a good character but we needed him to work more on his weight,” said the former England international as one of his main reasons for putting Gray on the market.
“Ian has been struggling over the last couple of seasons with his weight,” explained the Jabloteh head Coach.
Ian failed to appear in the opening matches of the TT Pro League because of a knee injury.
Gray a member of San Juan Jabloteh since 2001 has last played for Trinidad and Tobago back in 2005 under Coach Bertille St. Clair.
The TT Pro League transfer window opens on August 14th and closes on September 11.
