Keron Matthews was named this year’s Most Valuable Player (MVP) at the Defence Force Youth Football Teams annual prize presentation function held on August 21 at the Queen’s Park Savannah.

MVP Matthews also secured the top spot in the Under-17 category and Tevin Murray emerged top player in the under-15.

Receiving the award for Most Disciplined Player was Nosakhare Collymore and the Most Goals award were taken by Isaiah Farell (4) Under-15 player and Under-17 player Osei Griffith (7).

Manager of the team, Oswald Davis said, “As usual, we like to celebrate the efforts of the members of the youth teams for their performance during the 2011 Oasis Youth Pro League Season.”

Davis added, “The present economic conditions has forced us to be innovative and do things differently. The camaraderie was high and the youths enjoyed the informal proceedings.”
