MALABAR FC edged Joe Public 3-2 in Round 13 action of the Emerald Apartments and Plaza-sponsored Eastern Football Association (EFA) League competition last weekend.

With the result, Malabar remained atop the points standings with 26, three more than second-placed La Horquetta SA.

Malabar led 3-0 at the half-time interval, courtesy strikes from Michael Cornwall (16th minute), Kevora Cornwall (31st) and Dinelle Lopez (42nd), while Julien Nathan (80th) and Jean Michael Blackwell (88th) were the goal-getters for Joe Public.

La Horquetta SA edged WASA FC 2-1, with Kerron Clarke (16th and 59th) scoring twice for the winners while Kerron Smith (28th) replied for WASA.

St John’s United recorded their second win of the season with a 5-3 licking off Boss FC.

Jimel Hernandez (27th and 88th) notched a double for St John’s, with Antonio Noreiga (54th), Palorusse Baker (67th) and Godfrey John (71st) contributing one apiece. Yohanna Scott (20th), Anthony Applewhite (43rd) and Nkosi David (77th) netted for Boss FC.

FC Maloney remained rooted at the bottom of the nine-team table despite a goalless draw versus Carib FC. First Division leaders TT Prisons suffered a 6-2 humiliation by Tunapuna Titans.

Kevin Mungo (16th, 37th and 78th) registered a hat-trick for hosts Tunapuna, while Theo Hosein (27th and 43rd) and Ajajn Douglas (45th) also got their names on the scoresheet.

Prisons got a pair from Marlon Lawrence, in the 28th and 69th.

Pinto United were rewarded with a treble from Trevor Debisette (14th, 37th and 66 th) and a pair from Winspara William (27th and 79th) as they trounced FCM Supreme XI FC 5-1.

And, in the clash of the bottom-placed outfits, Crompton SC and Malta Carib Alcons battled to a goalless draw.
