The final zonal play-off in the 2013 Guinness Street Football Challenge was played on Saturday with Basic taking the big step toward the $25,000 grand prize, following a 2-1 win over Surfers in the North-West zone final.

Apart from making the June 1 national final, Phillip also advanced to the skills challenge final (which will be played on the same day), after amazing the crowd with his freestyle moves.
Last weekend, Hills Have Eyes (North East) and Chelsea (Central) won their respective play-offs, after Drifters Answer Back (Tobago), Junior Mafia (East) and Skillz that Killz (South) defended their zonal crowns.
The final will take place at the outside court of the Jean Pierre Complex, Wrightson Road. The winner of the T&T final will move onto the regional final, which will be hosted by St Vincent (the home of last year’s winner) from June 19 to 21.
