W CONNECTION crushed Crown Trace FC 4-0 at the Waterloo Secondary School Ground, to clinch the Carapichaima Youth Football Super League Under-8 title on April 5.
Sahari Mitchell netted a double, while Levi Jones added a pair, in the one-sided contest.
Mitchell walked away with the Most Valuable Player (MVP) award in the Under-8, having netted twice (while Jones got the other) in a 3-0 semi-final win over Tunapuna Titans.
In the other semi-final, Crown Trace needed kicks from the penalty spot to defeat Cap Off Youths 3-2. Cap Off Youths later defeated Tunapuna in the third-place playoff.
In related news, Yannic Inniss, a member of the Connection’s Under-8 squad, won the Futbul Table, which was promoted to raise funds for the Waterloo Under-10 team, who will be participating in the Barcelona Summer Cup in Spain from July 1-6.
