After a successful launch of the 2017 programme of GFFS (Gally’s Football Finishing School) at the Woodford Lodge grounds in Chaguanas last month, GFFS now shifts to the Hasely Crawford practice field for another clinic.
Fifty players participated in the seven-day programme which was held in collaboration with the Central Football Association(CFA).
Programme organiser Everald “Gally” Cummings, the former T&T player and national coach, was impressed with the discipline of players in showing up on time for sessions and staying engaged as well as their quick adaptation to the skills he imparted. Such was their enthusiasm, it was difficult to get them off the field after the sessions had ended.
The Port of Spain clinic, which kicks off today, will cater to players from mainly along the East-West corridor, including from the communities of Diego Martin, Barataria, Port of Spain, Tunapuna and Arima, along with a group from the St Mary’s Children’s Home in Tacarigua, have been selected to participate.
