East Mu­cu­rapo earned the right to com­pete for Sec­ondary Schools Foot­ball League (SS­FL) Fru­ta Form One Un­der-13 Na­tion­al knock­out ti­tle on Tues­day against south­ern­ers St Bene­dict's Col­lege at St Mary's Col­lege Ground, St Clair from 3:30 pm.

In the first semi­fi­nal match at the same venue on Sat­ur­day, East Mu­cu­rapo de­feat­ed Trin­i­ty Col­lege East 4-3 from the penal­ty spot af­ter the scores were tied at 3-3 at the end of reg­u­la­tion time.

Sean Pat­ter­son fired East Mu­cu­rapo in­to the lead with a 21st-minute strike, but the cel­e­bra­tion last­ed just six min­utes be­fore Tarique Ab­dul­la got the equal­iz­er in the 27th minute. Trin­i­ty then took the ad­vance for the first time in the 29th minute when Eli­jah Bouch­er found the nets for a 2-1 lead.

But East Mu­cu­rapo knot­ted up the scores for a sec­ond time in the fluc­tu­at­ing af­fair from Pat­ter­son in the 31st minute, a lead that last­ed just 10 min­utes af­ter the half-time in­ter­val, be­fore Keslon Pierre gave Trin­i­ty the lead 3-2 in the 40th minute.

And just when the game seem head­ing for a win for the east­ern­ers, Ma­lik Jarvis fired in the equal­iz­er for East Mu­cu­rapo in the 51st minute to send the game to the penal­ty mark to be set­tled. Isa­iah Thomas, Nieem Tay­lor, Jadon Mc Shine and Aaron An­drews were the scor­ers from the spot for East Mu­cu­rapo while Deisean Plaza, Dex­ter Croal and Eli­jah Williams found the nets for the Trin­i­ty East boys.

Mean­while, Trin­i­ty Col­lege re­bound­ed in the Boys un­der-16 knock-out fi­nal by beat­ing San Juan North 3-1 at El Do­ra­do West Sec­ondary Ground on Sat­ur­day af­ter­noon. Ay­dan Williams led the way for the east­ern­ers with a brace in the 45th and 80th minute while Je­maul Ash­ing scored the oth­er in the 35th.

San Juan's lone item came off the boot of Is­rael Joseph in the 40th minute.
