Cosmos United held Friends International to a pulsating 1-1 draw at the Arima velodrome where action in the over 40 division of the Arima Football League continued before a large crowd on Friday evening last.

Ralph Alfred and Anthony Jacob were the respective marksmen for Cosmos and Friends International who battled enterprisingly throughout the 80-minute encounter.

However, the draw secured a semi-final place for Friends International in the Big Four series scheduled for Wednesday 18th at the same venue. The victors have accumulated an unassailable 10 points from their four matches with one remaining round of matches in their group.

Later that very evening, Fish Alone again disappointed their numerous supporters with a scrappy display against Maracas United who edged them 2-1 in the second match of the doubleheader.

Curtis Stowe found the nets for Fish Alone but that proved inadequate as Trevor Roberts and Alvin Thomas registered for the winners who will clash with Moosai’s Sports this evening (Monday 9th November) from 6.00 p.m. at the same venue where Sweaters are scheduled to face 500 Touring Team two hours later.
