PETROTRIN PALO Seco crushed Queen’s Park 6-1 on Sunday, in the Third Round of the National Super League Qualifying Competition.

At the Palo Seco Velodrome, the hosts got two goals apiece from Tigana Sparks and Jamal Ayres, while Willian Garcia and an own goal were the other contributors to the Palo Seco cause.

Chad De Freitas was the lone goal-getter for Queen’s Park.

But La Horquetta SA maintained their 100-percent record in the six-team tournament after edging Matura Reunited 2-1 at the Maracas Recreation Ground, St Joseph.

Anslem Jackson and Keron Clarke found the back of the net for La Horquetta, while Joel Hoyte responded with a penalty for Matura. And, on Saturday, D’Lime Bar Goal City and Coosal’s Las Lomas United played to a 2-2 draw at the Plymouth Recreation Ground.

Kyle George netted a double for Goal City, in the 42nd and 89th minutes, while Las Lomas got strikes from Shaquille Holder (16th) and Dion Lewis (89th).

Action in Round Four will take place on March 23 with a trio of games.

La Horquetta will be visiting Las Lomas at the Madras Recreation Ground in Cunupia from 5 pm, Palo Seco will be entertaining Matura at the Palo Seco Recreation Ground from 3.30 pm while, at 6 pm, Queen’s Park will oppose fellow strugglers Goal City at the Hasely Crawford Stadium in Mucurapo.
