Devon Drayton scored with a minute left as table leaders’ Club Sando edged FC Santa Rosa 3-2 to maintain its five point lead at the top T&T Football Association (T&TFA) National Super League competition on Saturday.
Former national youth team player, Jack Weedon twice put Club Sando, ahead in the sixth and 45th minute only for Santa Rosa, to hit back via Rashad Griffith in the ninth, and Javon Rochford in the 75th, before Drayton’s late winner to push his team to 34 points from 13 matches, five clear of WASA which clobbered Goal City 6-1.
Third placed Petrotrin Palo Seco, slipped off the pace after it fell to a 1-0 loss to Siparia Spurs to remain on 26 points, while fourth placed Guaya United also stumbled in a 2-1 loss to Defence Force who got a brace from Javon Neptune. And in the other match played, La Horquetta whipped Las Lomas 4-1.
