Defence Force missed out on a share of the lead in the T&T Football Association National Super League after it was held to a 2-2 draw by la Horquetta SA at O’meara Road, Arima on Sunday.
With “Big Six” leaders’ Club Sando, having maximum nine points from three matches on a bye, Defence Force (six) had a chance to join the southerners at top.
However, “Teteron Boys” had to settle for a point as their goals from Atiba Hackette and Ronald St Louis were cancelled out by Taje Commissiong and Akiel Morris for La Horquetta.
And in the other match, host Guaya United was also held to a draw, 0-0 by visiting at Guaya Recreation Ground, Guayaguarare.
In the “Relegation Big-Six” battle, Las Lomas and Santa Rosa both won comfortably.
Las Lomas got a double from Keron Doldron and Travis Joseph in their 3-1 whipping of Malabar at Trinity College East while Santa Rosa blanked Goal City 2-0 at the Marvin Lee Stadium, Macoya.
Following the two Group B matches on Saturday, the league will take a break until January 7.
