Jody Allsop and captain Ryan Stewart scored two goals each to lead Guaya United to a 4–2 home win over Siparia Spurs when matches in the CNG Super League Premier Division continued on Sunday.
Stewart then drew Guaya level two minutes before the half, after which Allsop (68th) made it 3–1 in the 68th minute.
Any hopes of a Spurs fight back were ended five minutes later with Stewart getting his second to cement a 13th win from 17 matches, and 40 points, two more than Defence Force, which avenged a Toyota Classic round-of-16 loss to FC Santa Rosa with a 3–1 victory.
For the “Teteron Boys”, Jahvon Neptune netted a double, in the 14th and 62nd and Aaron Lester, the other in the 70th before Al Davidson got a consolation item for the host in the 72nd at the Marvin Lee Stadium, Macoya.
At the Matura Recreation Ground, Matura blanked WASA 2–0 with a goal apiece from Deon Carpriata (13th) and Dorian Robinson (74th) to climb to fourth spot with 28 points.
In other matches, Petrotrin Palo Seco crushed Real Maracas 5–0 and Stokelyvale and Police drew 1–1.
