DEFENCE FORCE moved closer towards claiming the 2015-2016 CNG National Super League Premiership Division crown on Sunday, after whipping WASA 4-2 in one of four rescheduled matches on the day.

At the WASA Ground in St Joseph, the league leaders got two goals apiece from Christopher Durity (26th and 69th minutes) and Josimar Belgrave (45th and 85th) as they registered their 20th win of the season.

Glen Walker (38th) and Kerron Clarke (65th) scored for WASA.

Defence Force remained four points ahead of Guaya United, who had a 3-0 win over Petrotrin Palo Seco at the Guaya Recreation Ground, Guayaguayare.

Club Sando Moruga moved up two spots to eighth after a hard-fought 2-1 win over the struggling Real Maracas at the Grand Chemin Recreation Ground, Moruga.

Finding the back of the net for Club Sando Moruga were Maurice Dick (13th) and Anderson Toussaint (34th) while Marvin Manswell got the consolation item for Maracas, in the 68th.

Matura ReUnited and Siparia Spurs battled to a 1-1 draw at the Matura Recreation Ground.

Kerrin Vincent put Matura ahead in the 26th but Shavon Frederick evened the scores in the 32nd. A trio of rescheduled matches are set to take place on Thursday.
