CURTIS CARRINGTON scored a pair as Barrackpore United trounced Petit Valley/Diego Martin United 4-0 on Saturday, on Match Day Four of the National Super League Championship Division.
The fans who turned up at the Barrackpore Recreation Ground saw the hosts open the scoring in the 12th minute through Carrington, with Dettori Trifon- Browne doubling the lead in the 23rd.
Carrington struck again in the 80th before Silus Cooper hit the team’s fourth with three minutes of regulation remaining.
Youth Stars moved to second after a comefrom- behind 2-1 win over Cunupia FC at the Cyd Gray Complex in Roxborough.
Michael Darko put the visitors ahead in the 30th but Youth Stars stormed back, with a pair from Hakeem Legall (43rd and 65th).
Also in winners’ row on Saturday were Central 500 Spartans, who got an item from Donovan Derrick in the 22nd to defeat Saddle Hill Hotspur 1-0 at the Hugo Francis Recreation Ground in Chaguanas.
In the day’s other fixture, UTT and Carenage United played to a 1-1 draw at the UTT O’Meara campus. Jamal Creighton netted for UTT in the 45th but, a minute into the second half, Kathon St Hillaire evened the scores.
