SPORTS AND Games FC Santa Rosa remained in the top spot of the National Super League Premiership Division after Match Day Seven action on Sunday.

Santa Rosa were held to a goalless draw by Police at the St James Barracks, but they still managed to maintain their lead.

However Club Sando Moruga moved up two places to second after they pipped Guaya United 2-1 at the Grand Chemin Recreation Ground.

Donrick Mascall broke the deadlock for Club Sando Moruga after 16 minutes but Kieron James equalised in the 59th for Guaya. But the hosts secured full points when Glendon Phillip found the back of the net in the 71st.

Petrotrin Palo Seco slipped one spot to third after they battled to a 0-0 draw with Real Maracas at the Maracas Valley Recreation Ground, while WASA moved up one place to fourth after a 3-2 victory over Matura ReUnited at the WASA Ground, St Joseph.

WASA took a 3-0 half-time lead with a double from Glen Walker (24th and 45th) and an own goal from Kern Joseph (41st). Matura responded with items from Kerin Vincent (78th) and Brendon Figuera (83rd) but WASA held on to their lead until the final whistle.

Marabella Family Crisis Centre jumped from 11th to eighth after a comfortable 3-0 win over Siparia Spurs at the Manny Ramjohn Stadium Training Field in Marabella.

Dwayne Ed wards (16th), Kevin Moodie (29th) and Juma Clarence (65th) were the goal-getters for the hosts.

Defence Force got the better of Tobago Phoenix FC 1976 by a 4-3 margin at the Defence Force headquarters in Chaguaramas.

Josimar Belgrave netted a double for Defence Force, in the 54th and 61st, while Marlon Laidlow (20th) and Javon Neptune (70th) were the other goal-getters. For Phoenix, Jabarry Francis (34th and 58th) notched a pair while L’Che Edwards (90th) got the other.

In the other scheduled game on Sunday, Queen’s Park came from a 2-0 deficit to draw 2-2 with Bethel United at the St Mary’s Ground in St Clair. Kevon Woodley (46th and 51st) got both goals for Bethel but the Parkites responded with a double from Alex Knaggs (57th and 81st). Action on Match Day Eight will be contested on July 31
