CHAMPIONSHIP DIVISION leaders Barrackpore United SC saw their unbe aten run ended on Saturday, in the National Super League.

In a top-of-the-table meeting against the University of Trinidad and Tobago (UTT ) at the Barrackpore Recreation Ground, the visitors registered a 1-0 win courtesy of a 39th minute strike from Stefon Pierre.

Following Saturday’s result, Barrackpore’s lead atop the nineteam standings was trimmed from five points to two.

Cunupia FC stayed in third place after they edged Petit Valley/ Diego Martin United FC 1-0 at the Diego Martin North Secondary School Ground.

It took 89 minutes for Cunupia to get the game-winner, through former St Ann’s Rangers striker, Ghana-born Michael Yaw Darko.

Youth Stars got a pair of late strikes to register a come-frombehind 2-1 win over Central 500 Spartans at the Cyd Gray Ground in Roxborough.

Donovan Derrick netted for the Spartans in the 25th but the hosts fought back in the dying minutes to claim victory, after items from Akiniyel Rouse (88th) and Raoul Trotman (90th).

Prisons FC brushed aside cellar- placed Saddle Hill Hotspur 2-0 at the Hasely Crawford Stadium’s Training Field, Mucurapo.

Getting their names on the scoresheet were Ricardo Alleyne (66th) and Roland Walcott (90th).
