STEVON STOUTE scored a pair as Cunupia FC trounced Saddle Hill Hotspur 6-2 on Saturday, at the Ato Boldon Stadium in Couva, in a National Super League Championship Division Match Day 10 contest.
Saddle Hill opened the scoring in the second minute through Cyrano Glen but Cunupia replied with three goals in the first half, from Dellon Jaggasar in the 19th minute, Jonathan Marcelle in the 23rd and Stoute in the 42nd.
Kevon Durham trimmed the lead to 3-2 when he scored in the 64th, but Stoute restored the twogoal advantage in the 79th.
Gorean Highley found the back of the net in the 83rd and Michael Yaw Darko ended the scoring avalanche with a strike in the 90th.
The University of Trinidad and Tobago (UTT) remained in first place, despite being held to a 1-1 draw by TT Prisons FC at the UTT O’Meara campus in Arima.
Dillon Bartholomew put UTT ahead in the 73rd but Kerry Frederick ensured that there would be a share of the points when he equalised in the 90th.
Barrackpore United earned a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Carenage United at the Barrackpore Recreation Ground.
Curtis Carrington gave the hosts a 13th minute lead but Clint Williams levelled the scores in the 88th.
The game seemed destined for a draw until Carrington notched the winner, in stoppage time.
In the day’s other fixture, Central 500 Spartans and Petit Valley/ Diego Martin United FC played to an entertaining 4-4 draw at the Hugo Francis Recreation Ground, Chaguanas.
Calvi Grazette (second), Donovan Derrick (31st), Keith Williams (35th) and Josiah Grazette (50th) were the goal-getters for Central 500 while Eric Charles (seventh and 58th), Anthony Joseph (52nd) and Curtis Smith (78th) replied for Petit Valley/Diego Martin.
