Bmobile National Super League clubs, Belmont-based St Francois Nationals and M&M Harvard, will kick off the League's 2009 community outreach programme today at the Anglais Road Recreation Ground in Cumana, Toco from 4 p.m.

The match is the first effort in a thrust to have football expanded to some rural communities, with areas such as Mayaro, Moruga, Biche and Barrackpore being targeted, among others.

According to a release from Super League organisers, All Sport Promotions, the drive is "in keeping with a commitment to take the League to communities across the country".

This week, Ian Pritchard, advisor to former Minister of Sport and Youth Affairs Roger Boynes, oversaw preparations at the Cumana ground to "meet the requirements of the National Super League and the T&TFF (Trinidad and Tobago Football Federation).

St Francois lost their first game of the 2009 season to Joe Public by a 2-1 scoreline, while Harvard picked up their first win with a 2-0 victory over 2007 champions WASA FC.

Sponsors bmobile have pledged small gifts for some lucky spectators at half-time in today's game.
