Mr. Anthony HarfordThe Bmobile National Super League kicked off its first community game on Sunday 16th May at the Cumana Recreation Ground. Port of Spain based teams St. Francois Nationals and M&M Harvard made the scenic journey up to the Anglais Road, Cumana, where the people of the community came out in their numbers to enjoy the game.

A supporter of one of the Port of Spain teams commented “ this is a beautiful ground”, the first of five venues in the community that will be used during the competition in its aim to expand the leagues exposure into rural Trinidad and Tobago, which was part of its original mandate.

The league has also chosen to thank the community support by awarding various giveaways to spectators of the game, as each ball boy was delighted to receive a book bag and water bottle courtesy bmobile.

At the referee’s final whistle, the game ended in a draw.
